albert&anne: Due to personal circumstances we have, very regrettably, not been able to do much caching in 2018. We however enjoy it a lot and would like to do it again in the future when circumstances are better. We have already replaced MORE THAN 20 containers on this series (being in residentail areas with high muggle activity), but having now been "put on the clock" with this series with Needs maintenance logs (instead of being messaged), decided to Archive rather than being the cause of the DNFs.

Geocache Description:

This series of caches will take you to some green spaces in the greater Westering area and surrounds. Next to the cache name in log is the number needed to find the final cache in the series.

Tiergarten

What Central Park is to New Yorkers and Hyde Park to Londoners, the same holds true in regard to what Tiergarten - the green lung of the metropolis- represents to Berliners. Located in the city centre, next to attractions such as the Brandenburg Gate, it is even larger than the 210 hectares of Hyde Park. At the end of the 17th century, Elector Friedrich III created from a former hunting preserve a "pleasure park for the people." Over the course of time, the park was redesigned according to several models – including a plan created by the famous landscape architect Peter Joseph Lenné who transformed Tierpark between 1833 and 1838 into an English style park.
