Anta da Portelagem ( Versão 2 )

Cache localizada junto à Anta da Portelagem - monumento megalítico no concelho de Esposende.

A Anta (ou dólmen) da Portelagem é um monumento megalítico pertencente a um conjunto de cerca de duas dezenas de monumentos megalíticos concentrados no planalto da freguesia de Vila Chã, concelho de Esposende no distrito de Braga.

Edificado durante o Neo-calcolítico definido para a região, a Anta da Portelagem, de utilização funerária, possui planta sepulcral de planta poligonal aberta, composta de nove esteios graníticos de pequenas dimensões, três dos quais com gravuras. Quanto ao corredor de acesso ao seu interior, ele é formado por oito esteios que suportariam, na origem, pequenas lajes de cobertura, duas das quais remanescem in situ.
As investigações conduzidas no local permitiram ainda recolher algum espólio associado, como exemplares líticos e material cerâmico, designadamente fragmentos de vaso tronco-cónico, insertos em sepulcros megalíticos clássicos..

O material recolhido nas intervenções encontra-se exposto no Museu Municipal de Esposende.

The Anta (or dolmen) of Portelagem is a megalithic monument belonging to a group of about two dozen megalithic monuments concentrated in the highlands of the parish of Vila Chã, Esposende municipality in the district of Braga. Built during the Neo-Chalcolithic defined for the region, the Dolmen of Portelagem of funerary use, has sepulchral plant open polygonal, composed of nine granite pillars of small dimensions, three of them with pictures. As for the access corridor to the interior, it consists of eight pillars that would support, the source, small slabs cover, two of which remain in situ. Investigations conducted on site allowed even collect some associated assets, such as lithic specimens and ceramic material, in particular frustoconical vessel fragments, inserts in megalithic tombs classic .. The material collected in the interventions is exposed at the Museum of Esposende.
