When we were asked to place a cache for the WAGB 2016 event we took a drive to Fairbridge to learn a little about the history, to the view the spot allocated for our cache and to see what was around that would get our creative juices flowing.
It became clear to us from the get go that we wanted to make this about the children, after all that was what Fairbridge was all about. We wanted to do something in honour of them. Did you know nearly 600 Fairbridgians went on to fight in WWII? Incredible. So from all this the idea of building a replica Chapel to scale was born. It was a place where all the children met and gathered frequently and is without a doubt the cornerstone of Fairbridge. Inside our Chapel Cache is big bell that can be rung from the outside by swinging the lever from side to side.
This Chapel was built and donated by ValoForce for Fairbridge and then the geocache was placed with their full permission and knowledge, you will not look suss here searching for the cache so have fun with it :)
