GuelphHiker: This cache was once on a fallen birch tree branches of which were well above the high water level. Unfortunately the presence of a cache did not block further decay and lose of elevation. The cache if still present is likely underwater. So regretfully this is being archived and a new cache placed nearby.

Geocache Description:

Fairy Lake is a beautiful location for a paddle on a summers day.  One can completely circumnavigate the entire lake at a leasurely rate in a couple of hours.

 

This cache is intended for access by canoe or kayak (motorized boats are not permitted on Fairy Lake) starting at the launch point listed in the additional waypoints.   It would be possible to access the cache by hiking and wading but this is not recommended. You can access this cache from your canoe or kayak. No landing required.
