After a busy night of caching and another full day ahead of you….. We would love you to start your day bright and early with us! Come join us at the Medicine Hat Tourist Centre to fuel up and regroup before heading out again. This event will be held between 8:00am-9:00am on Saturday 20-August, 2016. Coffee, beverages, and assorted snacks will be available for you to enjoy at 8:00am to 8:30am, provided by the Tourist Centre. A "GROUP PHOTO" will be taken in front of the Tourist Centre at 8:30am before we go off on our way!
At 8:30am will be your opportunity to grab your Tourist Info Sheet for "Explore MH Energy", a self-guided tour of Medicine Hat to see the different forms of Energy that is used to run Medicine Hat. This is NOT a race, so feel free to take as much time as you need over the weekend. There are caches in the areas you stop at, so make sure you grab them too!!
To start, you will need to visit the Tourist Centre, at the posted coordinate and receive a Tourist Info Sheet for "Explore MH Energy". Each Tourist Info Sheet will contain a list of locations and clues. You will have to seek out each set of coordinates and solve the clues for each one, to find the final set of coordinates. Once you have the final coordinates, you will go to that location and find the cache. On the lid of the cache you will find a "Password" that you will need to claim your Tag from TourismMH, back at the Tourist Centre.
***This year you will need to take your Tourist Info Sheet along with your "Password" back to the Visitors Centre to receive your Tag***
"Explore MH Energy" showcase how The City of Medicine Hat has diversified the way they collect energy that is needed to run Medicine Hat, AB. There is no rush to complete "Explore MH Energy" all in one day, as the Tourist Centre will be handing out the Tag once you have completed and found your "Password". Even if you do not get it done over the SAW VII you can come back and finish it at a later date!! Finial location will take you to a little know Memorial erected in 1981 by Canadian Pacific Rail.
You are welcome to participate alone, or with your caching partners in crime. While this is NOT a race, for the purposes of the event and limited manpower, we will have a start and end time, from which the Tourist Info Sheet will be available. We can't wait to see you there!
