The Value of a Dollar #2

What is money made up of?
Although todays money is called paper it is actually not paper, this is why when you accidentally forget to empty your pockets before you wash your clothes it doesn't get ruined. It is made up of a mixture of cotton and linen and although it looks green it actually has blue and red minute silk running through it to give it its color. For good reason we are not sure what the ink printed onto US currency is actually made up of which helps to combat counterfeiting. The ink is overlaid with symbols and once it is done the money is starched to help make it water resistant. Finally it is pressed to give it its crisp look.

There is $1 for the ftf, just enough to get you one thing!

We hope you learned something!
