Der Baryt
Der Baryt wird auch Schwerspat genannt und besteht chemisch aus Bariumsulfat.
Am Fundort entwickelt er tafelige Kristalle,die zu plattigen Lagen zusammengefasst sind.Die Farbe ligt bei Weiss bis Grau.
Baryt wurde bei Gehren,im Schortetal,bis 2008 abgebaut.Zur Zeit ruht das Bergwerk,da der Absatz nicht lohnt.
