Geocache Description:


I have been wanting to put a cache here for sometime. This is driven by and rarely ever does anyone realize there are 213 people buried here. This is a very sad spot with only 2 headstones in it. This was used from 1909 to 1974 for the people who died at the county home. I believe the reason for only 2 headstones is that the people buried here for the most part could not afford one and the family was either not around or could not afford it as well. There are several plaques on and around the fence please take a look. I have put to waypoints for the headstones. The first one is just inside the gate and is easy to spot. The second is out in the field on the way to the cache. This one is not so easy to spot. Please be respectful and daylight caching only. Bring a writing utensil. Remember as you walk through this field there are 211 unnamed people buried here and somewhat forgotten about. By placing this cache I hope to at least give somewhat of a memory of those who have passed here with no love ones around. So this cache is a small lock n lock container hidden in an easy spot. It will hold small trade items. Depending on the time of year you may have to bushwhack a bit but it is mostly high grass. Have and enjoy.
