I "Mort lung" e la Cappelletta della peste
La fondazione di questo luogo come di sepoltura per i cadaveri dei morti di peste risale al 1630, periodo nel quale si diffuse in Brianza la terribile peste raccontata dal Manzoni ne “I Promessi Sposi”.
Nelle contrade di Vimercate ed Arcore la peste arrivò nella primavera del 1630. Ignazio Cantù nel suo libro “Le Vicende della Brianza” edito nel 1836 scriveva:” Nei due mesi di luglio ed agosto, sempre funesti per le malattie pestilenziali, il contagio inferocì con tanta furia che i poveri abitatori della Brianza erano ridotti all’estremo della desolazione. Non si risparmiarono certe precauzioni, l’imbiancatura delle case, i profumi, la separazione degli infetti, trasportandoli in alcune capanne formate di paglia in luoghi aperti e la sì utile diligenza di seppellire i cadaveri dei pestilenti in luoghi separati, in Fopponi appositamente scavati.
Non v’è quasi paese fra noi che non abbia una croce, una cappelletta nei campi che ricorda i poveri morti del contagio e non ne conservi una salutare tradizionale devozione”. Ecco spiegata l’origine della cappelletta che sorge in memoria dei “mort lung” e di quel terribile periodo.

Alle coordinate indicate vi troverete immersi in un ambiente sereno e di raccoglimento. Il geocacher, anche se immerso nel proprio raccoglimento (ma non troppo…), sarà sempre attento a cogliere i “segni” che l’ambiente offre e noterà due numeri …
Step 2:
Preso nota dei due numeri, sottrarre il numero minore dal numero maggiore. Si otterrà un numero di due cifre XY.
A questo punto, per ottenere le coordinate dello stage 2 prendete le coordinate dello stage 1 ed applicate la seguente formula:
N 45°37. [885+(X+Y)]
E 9°18. [938-3*(X+Y)]
A questo punto potete avventurarvi nella ricerca. Mi raccomando di riposizionare tutto come viene trovato ed avere cura di aprire il contenitore con delicatezza. La cache contiene logbook e matita per loggare. Può contenere trackables e geocoins.
