Do you remember Beeching? Dr. Richard Beeching outlined the reduction and reshaping of British Railways in two reports in 1963 and 1965. They identified 2,363 stations and 8,000 miles of railway line for closure, with the aim of stemming the large losses being incurred during a time of increasing compitition from the roads and car ownership.
This is a micro cache placed near to the old Great Eastern Railway line which ran from Swaffham to Thetford and closed as part of the 'Beeching Axe' in 1964.
You do not need to climb the bridge to find the cache. This is my first cache and I hope you enjoy caching in Saham Hills. Please let me know if the co-ordinates are inaccurate.
I have changed the co-ordinates but they still seems to be off course. The clue will point to the correct side of the road. Congratulations to DanAliMat for FTF.
