Today we headed to the coast again. Berli decided it was time to check out a beach that we haven't visited in our fourteen years living here in California. Rock Point Beach was the beach of the day...a fantastic find...and the location of a small cache (put in place by Jack: thanks Jack!). It's quite a hike...but we had the entire beach to ourselves the entire three hours that we were there. The tide was on it's way out, so there were lots of tide pools...with lots of crabs and other sea creatures (although, no star fish, to Berli's disappointment). Berli pretty much named this cache, because of the adorable crabs we saw scooting over the sand, rocks, and in the tide pools. If you don't like to hike narrow cliffy pathways, or climb rocks...then this cache is not for you. But if you do...you will have quite a view once you reach the location of this cache. The cache is small, with only a log and a few small items (we will replace it with a better cache sometime this summer: I didn't realize I'd be placing a cache today, so wasn't prepared with a larger one for this spot). Be sure to take your pen...and maybe a flashlight...and a camera! You may want to snap a few pictures while you are up there. Watch your footing...it might be slippery. It's possible that during high tide you may not be able to retrieve this cache (we aren't sure...).

Have fun: be careful: go exploring: and...
Happy Caching!
