This cache is a bit of a tribute to the original "walk along Maraetai beach 2". When I started caching a year ago that was one of the first that I found. It was so well hidden that it took me a couple of attempts at finding it. To see it archived was a shame but it opened up the opportunity to set down a new cache. It's a little further east from the original site but parking is very handy, opposite GZ. The beach is a very safe gentle gradient ideal for paddling & swimming or just relaxing on the grass. I took several GPS readings & averaged them to the posted coords, for some reason they were a bit jumpy.
