A 4 stage multi in a town setting.
The purpose of this cache is twofold. It will honor veterans and introduce a bit of downtown Chappaqua to those not familiar with the area. There are many nice places to have lunch, a slice of pizza, or coffee or to sit on a pleasant park bench and just relax. There is a nearby scenic “Pocket Park”, (N 41 9.573, W 73 46.349) hence the cache name. You might like to take a few minutes to look around this mini park. An urban green space (not sure if downtown Chappaqua can be labeled “urban”) is always a welcome sight. This tiny vacant lot was turned into a beautiful “Pocket Park” and has been landscaped by the Chappaqua Garden Club. Besides the varied and prolific plantings, the area has benches, a large mural and a large trellis structure which add to the beauty of this small area. Please stay on the paved path, behind the small fence and observe the usage rules posted at the entrance. At Stage 1, you will not need to search around the stone memorial as the cache is not located there. Please respect the memorial. In the first stage you will find the coordinates to find the second stage. In that cache you will find the coordinates to bring you to the third stage and in that you will find the coordinates to bring you to the final stage. Copy the coordinates down or input them into your GPS for each stage; do not remove the slip of paper that they appear on. Three cache containers are small and #2 is a micro. The first three stages contain only the slip of paper with the next stage coordinates. The final stage, stage four, has the log book. All are located on easily accessible terrain. There is ample parking both on the street and in nearby parking lots for all the stages and at the Pocket Park. All stages are located in public places and do not involve traversing in wooded areas, nor trespassing on private property. All except the final stage are accessable if snow is on the ground. Optionally, you may like to answer the following questions. Answering these questions is not a required part of logging the cache. All answers are found at stage 1 or in the Pocket Park.
