This chapel was built in 1934 on the 50th anniversary of the hunting club Ybbs/Donau. It was first built on the ground of the former hospital of Ybbs.
On the picture, you can see the holy Hubertus, who is the patron saint of hunting and fishing, and a deer. In middle age, hubertus was a rich earl. Once a time, while Hubertus was hunting, he had a vison of a deer with a cross between it's set of antlers. This changed Hubertus and he became a bishop.
Since then, yearly on November 3rd people celebrate Saint Hubertus' day by going hunting or celebrating a mass.
In Ybbs, catholic people sometimes celebrate a mass in front of this beautiful chapel.
