The Thistle Breed are the new kids on the Highway slowly taking over some of what was the Tayside Breed. We will be found in and around the Shire and often border hopping into Tayside too. Caches are all placed close to a safe stopping place and most are suitable for Swaps to encourage the bairns young and auld. Remember have fun and enjoy the pace of the Haggis Highway
Quick park and grab with room for several cars
The auld Aberdeen road that runs along side the Dual carriageway just bypassing the sleepy village of Fordoun (pronounced For- Dun). As like all little villages it is starting to expand with new developements popping up. This is a fine back road taking you to a few caches away from the main road.
Over the track and looking towards the buildings is where and once was the old airfield.Disused now but was active during World War II, Fordoun Aerodrome operated from 1942 to 1944.
