Welcome to the Mitchell Tract of the York Regional Forest. This is one of the smaller tracts, but it has lots of nice trails (most of which don't show up on the YRF map). What it didn't have were any active geocaches. Fortunately, that oversight has now been fixed.
I saw this gorgeous crown of Oak trees in the vicinity and hoped that I could place a cache there, but there wasn't any place suitable. This was nearby, so this is where it hangs. Look for the crown Oaks as you head to the cache. Maybe you'll even want to climb up and stand in the centre of the trunks, just like I did.
Whilst there are access points along Vivian Road, I'd suggest parking at one of the access points along McCowan.
Congratulations to Val-Tyr and One Cat on the FTF!
