Geocache Description:

Another beautiful lake in the Northern Highland American Legion State Forest.

The drive to this cache is one of my favorite fall color routes, and GZ offers some beautiful sunset views, if not much else.

North Bass is a seepage lake in the Northern Highlands American Legion State Forest. From the Wisconsin DNR's lake index:

North Bass Lake is a 190 acre lake located in Iron County. It has a maximum depth of 11 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from a public boat landing. Fish include Musky, Panfish and Largemouth Bass.

Give your GPS a minute to settle, and don't forget the bug spray!

A Geocache Placement Notification form has been filed with Steve Peterson, NHAL Superintendent.
