Fairmilehead is a district of South Edinburgh. It lies approximately three miles due south of the city centre and borders Midlothian. The area comprises of districts of Comiston, Buckstone, Caiystane, Swanston, Frogston and Winton.
Fairmilehead Park was a fantastic area to grow up nearby. I still have fond memories of the vast expanse of green grass, the play park, 'The Gully' and the dense woods with an abundance of trees to climb.
