The old road. We do not know when people first settled here, but names indicate that the first inhabitants came in the ironage, possibly in the sixth century. Their roads can still be found, small parts of a u-formed pre-historic track. These old paths were still in use when the first road designed for wagons on wheels came in the 1890th and was used untill the present road was constructed in the 1950th. Most of the distance the new road covered the older, but from Romstadmoen to Aunet and from Aunet almost to Solem the old and the new road separated. Later years volunteers from the local historical organization have cleaned the track. They have also marked sites of historical interest. Some of the caches on this track will lead you to such places.
Vi vet ikke når folk først bosatte seg her, men navna tyder på at de første kom i jernalderen, kanskje på 500-tallet. Små stykker av vegene de brukte kan vi stadig finne som holveger, u-forma vegstykke. Dei gamle leiene var i bruk til den første kjørevegen kom på 1890-tallet. Den var i bruk til dagens veg koim på 1950-tallet. På det meste av strekningen ligg den nye vegen oppå den gamle, men fra Rostadmoen til Aunet og fra Aunet, nesten til Solem, har gamlevegen sin egen trase. I senere år har frivillige fra historielaget mv. rydda denne vegen og merka viktige kulturminner langs den. Noen av cachene vil lede til slike steder.
