No! NOT the ice cream (although I remember bus lay-overs across from the original Wilcoxsen's Creamery in Livingston that were made wonderful by ice cream and the best chicken salad on the planet). Instead, this is a cache to remind all of us in the neighborhood that we have a very varied wildlife population--and sometimes strange beasties blunder their ways onto our turf. What follows is from a Facebook posting of May 24th (the last day of school for the students, as well).
"Coming down Valley Creek this morning and to the first bend: I looked ahead and saw what I thought was a horse in trouble; it had jumped the fence and caught on the top wire. I held my breath. As I got closer, I saw it free itself and continue over and up the hill: a yearling moose, coming up from the bottoms."
You WILL see several examples of wildlife (although maybe not a moose) as you travel this road. Take the time to record your natural finds as well as this cache.
