Back in June, when I originally walked the trail, placed the containers and snapped coordinates, I neatly spaced out the 3 caches. When I published #6, one of the early finders also found the container that I called #4 and signed it as FTF. When I published #5 of the series, the FTF came back out and found #4 after I mentioned that someone else had found #4. So that was ELEOS #4
I came out the other day to move the location (thus #4a) so it wasn't in such an obvious place - I guess I've become too predictable. No rocks were involved in this hide.
Calculating the final coordinates:
From this cul de sac, as you look west, you see a COSCA sign post with several signs visible from the front, and a plasticized paper sign, parts of which are only visible from the back (or sides) The plasticized paper sign has deterioated beyond recognition, so read this before you climb over the wall to get to the sign
. Capital letters are the numbers you calculate to figure out the final location. Here goes:
lower case letters represent the numbers you see or create from the information on the sign
- Section abc tells you not to litter
- No smoking or fires is mentioned in section def
- Dusk to Dawn - section ghj
- k is the number of nuts you see on the back of the sign(s)
- m is the number of holes in the back half of the green metal container, just below the top, before you climb over the wall
Now, for the calculation
Standard math operators: + (add), * (multiply), - (subtract), / (divide)
- A = h
- B = a
- C = b+e-d
- X = k-m
- Y = j
- Z = c
Now snap the coordinates of the post that the signs are on, and subtract ABC from the longitude decimal, and add XYZ to the latitude decimal. to get the final coordinates. The checksum for the entire final coordinates is 57
Cache is a camo'd preform, with log only - bring your own pen/pencil.
*****Congratulations to qbee37 for FTF

Happy Caching! A cache a day keeps the doctor away
Feedback is always appreciated on the difficulty/terrain ratings, cache descriptions, etc - thanks.
