Geocache Description:

Park in the Visitor Center Parking lot and follow the trail at the northwest corner of the lot.

Replace exactly as you found it.

"Vereda" is Spanish for path or local trail. It is named for Juan Patron who was a very important leader of Lincoln and New Mexico (he eventually became a state legislator). He tended to favor the Regulators of which Billy the Kid was a member and which group opposed Lawrence Murphy. Meanwhile, Patron was the county probate clerk, whose boss was the probate judge, Lawrence Murphy...!
