Tatanka Traditional Cache

I have obtained permission from the parks department to place this cache.

This cache is located inside Big Sioux Recreation Area/State Park and does require a State Park entrance fee to enter the park via car.

If you don't plan on climbing up to the top of the hill, take a right at the trailhead. But if you are going after all the caches along this trail I suggest taking a left.

This should be a fairly easy find in pine tree.

Common instructions: Please don't tear up the area in your search! Make sure you bring your own pen since there is not room for one in the cache. Make sure you replace the cache exactly as you found it. DO NOT make it any harder/easier than it was. It does not need improvement. Have fun!! Disclaimer: Always exercise common sense and caution. This 2.8-mile trail is an aggressive hiking trail that takes trail users along a scenic route of the Big Sioux River. A suspension bridge goes over the river where the majority of the trail is located. This trail winds along with the Big Sioux on one side and a large prairie area on the other. A pretty impressive hill provides an awe-inspiring view. The archery trail connects to this trail. Park visitors may want to do a treasure hike using a GPS unit to find coordinates set by park staff. Horseback riders can access the trail from their own designated parking lot. Snowmobilers can take advantage of the trail during the winter months.
