WOTB #52 Welcome to The Shores Traditional Cache

Take a walk in the World's Most Famous Beach. Like the others in this series this cache is in a high muggle area so use stealth, best hunt times are early morning and evenings. Accessible from the traffic free beach or parking onthe west side of A1A, use caution crossing this roadway.

This cache is located at the south limits of Daytona Beach Shores, better known by the locals as The Shores. Daytona Beach Shores is an oceanfront community of 4,300 residents located on the barrier island directly south of Daytona Beach, Florida.  The city was founded on Apr. 22, 1960 by local businessmen who were convinced that a smaller community would better serve the local residents. 

In the 1970s and the 1980s, the city saw massive construction of high rise condominiums where about 80% of the residents reside. In 1997 the residents voted to limit the hight of future buildings to 12 stories. Enjoy your travels in the Shores and watch your speed.
