Welcome to PARADISE! No doubt you've noticed the incredible beauty of Nusa Lembongan already. The dramatic limestone cliffs and dazzling aquamarine-colored water are a sight to behold. There is much to see around the island and on its fringing reef. At the time of placing this cache there were no other caches on the island. Being that Lembongan is becoming such a hotspot for tourists looking for a more laid back holiday experience I thought it would be well worth fixing the dire geocache situation. So enjoy your stay, whether it be for a day trip or longer, find a cache or two, maybe take a surfing lesson or snorkeling trip and HAVE A GREAT TIME!
You will find this cache outside my friend Lena's house. Lena is like a brother from another mother, as we share much the same philosophy on life, family and environment. We may be different nationalities but he treats visitors like family and is an all-round great guy. Lena was an international surfer (teaching surfing in Australia) but has now settled back in Lembongan with his family and takes tourists on surfing lessons and snorkeling trips. He is passionate about the environment and organises teams of volunteers to do clean-up projects around Lembongan on a regular basis. His volunteer team are also lobbying the local village chiefs for rubbish bins around the island and local laws that will see big fines issued for littering.
Please be respectful when looking for this cache. It is in plain sight outside. Remember that this is a family home and business, however the occupants are well aware of the geocache and will be the local cache guardians. If his doors are open, please say hello from Melina. ***PLEASE BYO PEN.***
