Long before I learnt about geocaching, I learnt about horseback riding. That is also a great way to enjoy the outdoors and connect with nature.

When I relocated to Cape Town from The Netherlands in October 2015, I needed to find a place to enjoy the horses. And I did quite quickly!

I had already contemplated placing a cache near here, and after a morning's hike in the region I had a chat to the owner about what I had been up to. He was very interested in the idea of geocaching and suggested placing one in its final location. He was very happy to grant me permission to do so. This gives limited access hours but makes for a very safe and friendly environment. There is no need to interact with the staff to find the geocache but you are most welcome to do so if you like. They can give you more information regarding the horses. And feel free to pet the horses!

Now find the coordinates of the final:
At the starting coordinates you will find a large signboard, showing amongst others a telephone number. You can call this number between 9:00 and 16:00 to have them open the gate for you to reach the final destination. Every day of the year except for Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
You also need the telephone number to find the coordinates of the final location. Let the telephone number be ABC DEF GHIJ. The container can be found at
S 33 49.IC(H-C) E 18 56.J(E+F)(D-G)
Alternative telephone number to open the gate: AB(H-G) B(D-F)E (H-E)GF(H-F) - preferably whatsapp message
