Cache dedicata alla reinagurazione della Ferrovia a scartamento ridotto che dal centro città di Genova, attraversando i pendii dei forti genovesi e i piccoli paesini dell'entroterra, arriva a Casella, rinomata località di vileggiatura estiva.
Il tracciato è lungo poco più di 24 chilometri ed effettua un percorso totalmente montano attraverso le valli Bisagno, Polcevera e Scrivia. Aperta all'esercizio nel 1929, dal 2010 è gestita dall'Azienda Mobilità e Trasporti SpA di Genova, la quale opera dunque come impresa ferroviaria e gestore dell'infrastruttura. La ferrovia, chiusa nel novembre 2013 a causa di cedimenti e frane lungo il percorso, è stata reinaugurata il 21 maggio 2016 con nove corse al giorno
Che dire forse l'ultima attiva ancora in Italia, che fa invidia perfino ai vicini trenini rossi svizzeri. Un'esperienza sicuramente da vivere.
