Geocache Description:

This is a quiet and peaceful spot on the Water of Cruden which runs from Greenheads, through Hatton, joining with the Laeca Burn and then all the way to the North Sea at Cruden Bay beach. This is a micro cache so bring your own pen.

This was one of my favourite fishing spots growing up, which I still visit from time to time as the river can be teeming with trout and salmon.  Head for the field in the South-East corner of the car park then follow the path and exit at the suggested trail head. Directly across the road is the Cruden Parish Church which has a rich history so why not spend a few minutes exploring the church grounds. If you have time, turn right when leaving the car park to cross the extremely narrow 17th century Bishop's bridge.
