This cache is one of eight firefly themed caches that were published on the morning of July 2nd to accompany the CCLP's Firefly Olympics event. Each cache page contains fun firefly facts or an anecdote from the CCLP's personal firefly history. Prospective Firefly Olympians will be required to find all eight caches, procure the secret letter contained within, and spell an appropriately themed word in order to win a spin on the CCLP's fantastical Prize Wheel...Wheel...Wheel...Wheel...Wheel!!
Young Mr. Crunchy recognized the possibilities immediately the first time he saw a firefly smeared across the pavement. Cowboys and Indians were a big deal when he was a kid, back before the internet and cable/satellite TV, and a firefly smeared across the face in the right places created some awesome glow in the dark war paint that made for a fearsome Apache warrior of the night. It was this, and many other macabre incidents like this, that ultimately led Mr. Crunchy to his more Buddhist approach to other forms of life today.
