Geocache Description:

Cool and fun.p>

It is a tribute of the train crash of 1908.  25 people died [editor’s correction:  21].  The Burlington Northern #16 did not know that there was another train.  The 1 is for the one car left on the track.

Ryan B.

We hope that the area now in use for the Young's Point trail will be a kinder, gentler environment.  Do take the time to drive out to the frontage road and four and a half miles west.  There, opposite the underpass, you will see Young's Point jutting out over the Yellowstone River--the site of several train crashes including the disastrous 1908 crash the students speak of, as well as one of the major sugar beet dumps in the early 1900's.
