Just steps from the official trail (~15 feet), be sure not to continue as this little rabbit trail goes to the private residence. But this private trail provided a convenient spot to hide a cache without causing to much more trampling.
Hidden in the "Wilderness" side of Christie Lake Conservation Area. Parking is available of Middletown Road but you do need to display your park entrance fee receipt or a seasons pass in the window! I have hiked at Christie for years and never realized this trail was here. I discovered it this spring and it is by far my favorite trail in the park. This loop, the White-tailed Deer Trail, will take you along the creek, over a small bridge, up some hills and back down the other side of the creek. You do have to walk down the road a little (over the bridge) to get back to the car parking.
