Georges River Reserve is an amazing piece of bush land. It is home to some spectacular rock formations, many of which we never would have known about if not for Geocaching. In fact, we wouldn't have known about this reserve full stop. Now that we have found almost all of the Geocaches in this area, we needed an excuse to get back out here and what better way than to place a Geocache of our own. We actually plan to place a few out here in the next couple of months.
Just under a year ago, while walking along the base of the cliff from Raindoctor's Baby Rockstar to Rockstar, we passed this amazing cliff face. We vowed that if we ever placed a Geocache, it would be right here. Looking back at our photos, we noticed an ominous 'face' coming out of the rock. Can you spot it?
The Geocache is a large sistema container hidden by some obvious natural camo. Make sure you replace the camo to keep it hidden.
Optional: Inside the cache is something for your face. Choose your favourite one, pop it on and snap a shot next to the cliff 'face'. Feel free to take your apparel home as a souvenir of your find. Let us know if things are running low.
Note: As the coordinates were taken at the base of a cliff, they may not be 100% accurate. We averaged the coords from two devices, so we hope they will put you in the right area. To get down to the cache site, we made our way down towards Rockstar at the end of the track and then bush bashed our way across. If you find a better way let us know!
