Geocache Description:

This is the Third in a short series of caches that outline the course of Hadrian's wall as it passes from Segedunum through Walker and Byker. Most of the wall has been removed in these locations and none of the original wall is visible. But a few sites have been excavated and the line of the wall has been highlighted in various locations.

This is the approximate position of the wall as it passed over the top of the hill at Byker. There is a small section of stones here to indicate this. The cache is magnetic and is only available during the opening hours of the nearby shop. Please BYOP and be careful with young children, the roads are quite busy around here. Shop opening times are 10 till 6 each day except Thursdays when it stays open till 7 Congratulations to Mike Armstrong on your FTF
