Geocache Description:

This military pill box was built for amphibious landing by American military in 1945. In Japan, the pill box is called as "Toh-chika". Its origin is Russian language. At this time, some pill boxes are remaining along the coastline of Hokkaido.

This cache is multi cache. The entrance of the pill box is on the "A" side. The nearest road is on the "B" side of the pill box. Two half-broken windows are on the "C" side. "North" = 2, "West" = 4, "South" = 6, "East" = 8 The final coordinates are N43 00.AC5 and E144 17.7AB. Please bring your pen for logging. 太平洋戦争末期にアメリカ軍の上陸に備えて作られたようです。ところでトーチカとはロシア語のようですね。日本で何故ロシア語のこの言葉か普及したのでしょうか。北海道には根室から苫小牧にかけて幾つかのトーチカの遺構が残っているそうです。使われなかった事は不幸中の幸いと言えるでしょう。人間が入れる入口はAを向いています。壊れかけた割と大きな窓二つはB側にあります。アクセスできる道路はトーチカのC側にあります。 N=2,W=4,S=6,E=8 Final N43 00.AC5 E144 17.7AB 筆記具を持参下さい。
