Geocache Description:

Enjoy a nice paddle on Barrington's Brickyard Pond. Obviously you'll need a boat of some sort to get to this cache, and coordinates for the two kayak launching sites for the pond are listed below.

As you can probably tell from the name of the pond, bricks used to be made in the area that is now Brickyard Pond, which was formed because of the amount of clay required to make the bricks. The remnants of a former brick building (or ruins) can be seen near the cache site and if you look closely near these ruins you can see a multitude of bricks beneath the water. In fact, the water is the color it is today because of the amount of clay surrounding the pond!

You're looking for a typical bison tube in fairly typical fashion. The water near the cache site was somewhat shallow when hidden, so make sure not to get stuck. Hope you enjoy your paddle!
