Geocache Description:

This was the end of the road for us, as we had a timeline to meet to return to the road.  The track from here continues on up the valey, then heads up to the recently re-located Black Birch Bivvy. Cache is a Crunchy nut peanut butter jar, with some room for swaps and trackables.

Welcome to the former Black Birch station which Marlborough Mountain Bike Club and DOC have been working on and transforming for another place of recreational excellence. Suitable for trampers, runners and MTBers (mostly) this benched track should cater to all outdoors people, like us.

Details about the track can be found here;

The Woodbourne Adventure Sports People (WASP) headed out on a mild Winters day and started their own Blairich Project. No witches to hunt down, just a collection of weatherproof containers with logbooks only, please BYOP.

There were initially 13 caches placed in this series. Coordinates were taken by 2 devices but we welcome your input if ours turn out to be a bit iffy.

Hope you enjoy your journey through this excellent new project and as always, happy hunting.

Black Birch Bivvy new location is NZTopo50 map sheet: BR28 Grid/NZTM2000 coordinates: E1668256, 5381230
