Geocache Description:

This cache should be a "Breese" at Breese Stevens Field, a gem of the Madison Parks.  From ultimate frisbee championships to great concerts to outdoor markets to soccer and football .... Breese Stevens Field is a multi-purpose stadium listed on the National Registry of Historic Places and located in downtown Madison on East Washington Avenue. The facility hosts athletic events, concerts, community events and more annually.

 

 


Originally constructed in 1926 as a baseball stadium it was most recently upgraded in 2014 and is a beautiful facility at which to enjoy events.  Although access to the interior is limited to scheduled events, this geocache is accessible 24/7.

Street parking available all around the park.  Small cache containter, BYOP.  Easily accessible on foot or bike. 

This cache location is accessible by wheelchair, but the cache itself would probably not be retrievable by an individual in a wheelchair.

Geocaching activity is only allowed in general parklands in the City of Madison and Geocaching activity is prohibited at: Forest Hill Cemetery, Olbrich Garden, City of Madison conservation parks, Odana Golf Course, Monona Golf Course, Yahara Golf Course, Glenway Golf Course and areas with identified Indian Mounds. All geocachers will be respectful of all public parkland. No digging or penetration of ground surface will be permitted. Trees, shrubs and plants will not be disturbed or altered at any time.
