Geocache Description:

Welcome to the St Leonards Lake Reserve Trail.  This is an easy walk around the Lake and Wetland of beautiful St Leonards. There is abundant bird life to see in a natural setting not far from the Foreshore of Port Philip Bay.

The track is very popular with locals and visitors alike, dog walkers and bike riders.  The trail is just over 2km around and is family friendly.

On the way to this cache from #1, be daring and ascend Mount St Leonards and take in the expansive views of the town and out to the bay.  Mount St Leonards was formed when the man made lake was excavated.

Take time and see the variety of birdlife- swamp hens, coots, cormorants, ducks and geese.
