The published coordinates will take you to a commemorative water fountain hidden on the edge of the beach at Kaiteriteri. The plaque tells us that Captain Arthur Wakefield R.N. came ashore here and drew water from the spring that feeds the fountain while on his quest to find a site for the Nelson settlement.
