Great bird watching location with stunning views across the plain.
This location is marked at Kiti dam but I have been led to believe is actually within the boundaries of Tersefanou. During winter months when rainfall is plenty, this dam fills with water creating a large pool of freshwater. During these times, flocks of migratory birds come down to feed, wade and mate. Glossy ibis, bee eaters, lots of different sorts of herons and both great white and little egrets to name a few can be found here in numbers, so bring your binoculars and a camp stool and take in the view from the top. Spring also brings thousands of frogs which kick up quite a racket! The summer months are generally dry, so don't be disappointed to see a hollow basin. The view from the top is nice and a bit of exercise never hurt anyone ;) Inside the cache I have left, logbook and pencil, a silver dollar, key ring and some small items of jewelry. Have fun
