A tree like this deserves a cache.
I've hiked all around Crystal Cove and Laguna Coast Wilderness for years now, but I'd never explored Lizard Trail until recently. For most of the park's history, this area was off limits until being opened as an official trail in 2015. Lately, a lot of new caches have been popping up on this trail and the adjacent Laurel Trail. I was racing for an FTF on one of them when I noticed this magnificent old oak tree nestled between the trail and some interesting looking caves. I felt that it deserved a cache and a good one, so today I lugged an ammo can all the way in there and dropped it off for you to find. I hope you find this old tree as interesting as I did.
