Geocache Description:

Celebrate International Caching Day (20th August 2016) at Peter Depena Reserve at 14:00.

It's on again, afternoon tea by the bay! Last year's event went so well that we all agreed to meet back here again in a year's time. As the cold wind coming in across the water made it a chilly affair, we'll start an hour earlier to grab some of the sun.

Date: Saturday 20th August 2016
Time: 14:00 - 16:00
Group Photo: 15:30
Location: Peter Depena Reserve, Dolls Point
Celebrating: International Geocaching Day
Weather: The event will not be cancelled! Think positive thoughts.

Still in the St George area but close enough to The Shire that we may have some visitors from over the bridge. Park in the noted parking places or plan a bike ride for the afternoon and enjoy the sparkling bay by bike. Public transport (by bus) options are also available. The park is kid friendly, has toilets, and plenty of space for ball games.

To celebrate the event I'll bring some (nearly good for you) baked treats and would encourage others to bring something similarly festive to share. Please post your will attend so I know how much to bake! And could I ask attendees to bring hot water and mugs/cups so we can have tea and coffee. I'll bring regular tea but if you have anything more interesting to try, do bring it along. For coffee addicts, there is a cafe nearby but no guarantees of quality or opening hours.

For those that would like a pre-meet lunch, you have the option of a couple of cafes and the lovely 16ft sailing club.

Feel free to drop trackables in the lead up to the event as we'll have a swap and discovery area.

And come visit the St George and Surrounds Facebook Group for all the local caching news.
