I bet you are wondering what is this structure? I also wondered, so I walked up to it for a closer look. Inside the top are replicas of native American Indians. There appeared to be seeds or fruit set out, and little, small cups of water. Christmas lights are strung around the structure, but were not on..
It is quite impressive, if you ask me. I wondered to myself, "What does this represent? What does this mean?", so I went inside the business near by to ask if anybody could tell me about the shrine, or structure. What is that?
One of the waitresses talked to me. She has been a waitress there for 5 years or more. She told me that the owners are Cambodian and that they have their own religious beliefs, yet they also respect the religious beliefs of the people here in America. The shrine is an homage to the religious beliefs Americans have and it is out of respect that it was built. Every Sunday, they offer food and water to the shrine in respect for us and for good luck to them in their lives and for their business.
