A good track which crosses the southern Pentlands. It can be started form Boston Cottage/A70 , Little Sparta near Dunsyre or Weston near Newbigging. It is a well surfaced and drained path crossing ill-frequented wild moorland with good views. Other than the odd short boggy section it gives easy walking.
Seen for miles around the hut on Seat Hill. This was a firing range and this concrete shed was the shelter used by the markers. It is now used by the sheep.
The cache is not placed at the hut just in case the sheep want the nibble it.
