El Lugar
Cerro aledaño a la ciudad, se trata de una típica quebrada del sistema orográfico por donde discurre un arroyo terminado en un salto de agua.
Se encuentra ubicado a seis kilómetros de la ciudad de Tandil, en la ladera sur de la Sierra de las Animas, una de las más altas del Sistema de Tandilia, conserva todas sus características naturales, sin que hasta el momento se haya modificado el aspecto silvestre del lugar.
En épocas de lluvia una cascada se forma en la unión de vertientes que bajan de las sierras concretando una fina corriente de agua que se precipita entre las rocas y cae por los desniveles del terreno a través de sus siete saltos.
Para llegar a la cima de la sierra, donde se encuentra el cache, es necesario escalar entre las piedras, a la orilla de la cascada.
