Geocache Description:

This cache is one of four placed by Settle Stories around the Town of Settle to introduce some of the old stories of Settle.

A Meeting Place is a cache close to the centre of Settle near to parking and local facilities. Wheelchair users will be able to access the cache by entering the Meeting House grounds via Ashfield Car Park and an entrance at the far left hand corner of the car park after the bowling green.

A little history...the Meeting House, one of the first, was built in 1678, before it became legal for Quakers to gather for Worship. It was built on the original route out of Settle, which crossed the River Ribble at Giggleswick.
