Visit each of the waypoints to find dates P to Z. I recommend visiting the waypoints either in the given order or as PQVRSTUYXWZ, but you can do them however you like.
You can do this as a standalone cache, or if you want a challenge, you can do it simultaneously with Old Town Trail 1 (GC6M5CT). If you attempt this, I suggest you start with date A on Trail 1, then find date P on this trail, and then alternate between the waypoints on the two trails.
The waypoints for this trail are:
- P. N53° 20.449, W002° 43.885
- Q. N53° 20.483, W002° 43.989
- R. N53° 20.483, W002° 44.082
- S. N53° 20.448, W002° 44.271
- T. N53° 20.517, W002° 44.249
- U. N53° 20.616, W002° 44.113
- V. N53° 20.523, W002° 44.036
- W. N53° 20.526, W002° 43.825
- X. N53° 20.562, W002° 43.822
- Y. N53° 20.627, W002° 43.819
- Z. N53° 20.503, W002° 43.714
At each location, you will find a year representing one of the events or buildings in the list below. These are not listed in the order that you'll find them, so you'll have to figure out which one you need for each waypoint! You only need to write down the last digit of the year.
- Birth of William Dudley
- Known as the White Hart Inn until at least this year
- Archaeological dig at Norton Priory
- Mersey Road opened
- Death of the Titanic captain's mother
- Hazlehurst & Sons founded
- Market Hall
- Free library and reading room
- Stone laid by Councillor Nyland
- Alistair Taylor left Apple Corps
- Ship building on the site since at least this year
Now you should have 11 numbers. The final cache can be found a short walk away at:
N53° 20.U(P-R)V, W002° 4(Q/Y).(X-S)Z(W-T)
All locations on the trail are accessible by wheelchair or with a buggy, but note that there are steps at the end of the path by the church leading to waypoint U, so you may have to take a different route.
