Welcome to the Geocaching Coastal Christmas in July Event,
We have some great things planned and we hope you will come enjoy them.
Please join us for all of the fun at El Agulia, 187 Teagarden Road, Gulfport, MS from 6 pm - 9 pm.
We will have a Worst Christmas T-Shirt competition, so get your funky Santa idea out and get to creating, they will be judged by group vote and there is a prize for the winner.
We will have a White Elephant Swap:
Goal: End up with a good gift.
Preparation:
- Ask all participants to bring a wrapped gift (value under $20) ahead of time
How to Play the White Elephant Gift Game:
1. The person with the lowest number picks a present first, after picking a present, the first person unwraps it for everyone to see.
2. Next, the person with the next lowest number has the choice of picking a gift from the pile or stealing the first person’s gift. If he/she chooses to steal the person’s present, the first person can take choose and unwrap a different gift from the pile.
3. This pattern continues until everyone has a gift. When the last person picks a gift, the game is over. After the game, people can barter and exchange their gifts.
Note:
A gift can only be “stolen” three times. After a gift has been stolen from two different people, the third person is able to permanently keep the gift (the gift cannot be stolen anymore).
This is meant to be fun, so there is no need to spend a lot of money, if any at all. Those who bring a present will be entered into the swap.
Participating in the swap is optional. You do not have to bring a present for the swap in order to attend this event.
We will meet in the dining room beginning at 6 pm. The White Elephant Swap will begin at 7 pm.
