Summer break is upon us and when that happens we get to expand our wings and fly, on days when other things aren't hogging up the clock. This was one of those days, where after a brief morning appointment the Giggleboys and I were free to roam, and today we had Mr Blue Meanies roaming with us! Our adventures started out to the east, at the Pend Orielle County Park. But then after some refreshment and food we were ready to go again for a little bit, so we came exploring on this side of things. We stopped down south and were instantly attacked by mosquitos that we were highly unprepared for. It didn't take more than a minute for us to abandon the idea of entering the beautiful woods there, as nothing short of metal armor would've thwarted their attacks today.
Instead we did what we do, and that is set out to see if there was a different way to get into at least some of the public land in this area. While the mosquitos were just as fierce they lulled us into our destination and didn't show their heads until we were set upon our course. We made it out alive and with at least enough of our blood to keep going, and thought we'd let everyone know that this is another parking area that can be accessed. As with the others in the area, a Discover Pass is required to park here. But this is a roadside park n grab at the entrance with the simple goal of saying, "Look, there's land here, and you can come in this way too if you want!"
Inside this land there are beautiful vistas, all manner of flora and fauna to behold, and animals to possibly spot. So enjoy it if you choose!
