We all know a 'Trekkie', if we're not one ourselves, and may also know that many real fans of the ground-breaking TV show "Star Trek" prefer the term 'Trekker', because the former has commonly become more of a derogatory term. Well ... this cache is for all those geocachers (or their friends) that used to scour the Radio Times each week and then put a big asterisk on the calendar when next the starship 'Enterprise' NCC-1701 would be transporting Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Scotty, Sulu, Uhura and Chekov on their next adventure.
James T. Kirk introduces each show with the words "... to boldly go where no man has gone before" so the published coordinates for this cache are located in Nomansland near Harpenden and Wheathampstead in Hertfordshire ... which is a little closer than the outer reaches of the Delta Quadrant.
While fleeing at warp speed from the Klingons, the 'Enterprise' has entered an unstable pocket of space-time. All of the monitors on the ship have turned to a jelly-like substance and the displays are now very hard to read. However, the images should still be recognisable to an experienced Trekker.

The certitude computer seems to be immune to the disturbance, so you can still check your solutions.
